Amal Kharbichi Publishes Paris, A Guide to Exploring Paris

PARIS – Amal Kharbichi, a French author, announced today that she has published a new book, "Paris", a guide to exploring the city of Paris. Intended to go well beyond the traditional tourist guides, "Paris" is written to show vacationers how to love Paris, on their own terms.  The book offers a quick education on how to choose what enlivens a traveler most while giving lessons in French culture.

“Whether you are planning the vacation of a lifetime or you’re a frequent traveler, Paris must be on your itinerary before you die,” said Kharbichi.  “But not just any Paris. Your Paris. This book will help you choose what makes you come alive and rejuvenate so you can enjoy this precious time to the fullest. It’s not just a guide to Paris, it’s a guide to the places and experiences that will turn your visit into an unforgettable adventure.”

Paris shows visitors how to discover fun, personal experiences, such as finding the activity that will spice up your relationship, where to go to tantalize your taste buds or have all French clothing brands at your fingertips.  It contains practical information about how to choose the museum that sets one’s senses ablaze. The book also includes access to online resources, recommendations, and French phrases the visitor needs to feel most at home.

Kharbichi lives in Paris with her husband, son, and daughter. Born in France to Moroccan parents, Kharbichi struggled and failed to fit both Moroccan and French cultural standards before embracing her unique position as a citizen of the world who found herself shaped by many cultures beyond her native ones.

Over the past fifteen years, Kharbichi has become an expert in developing the means to bring people of different nationalities together without strife or struggle. She worked for multinational companies, on social and environmental responsibility for the French government and on political strategy for the United Nations. Kharbichi is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, Sciences-Po Paris.
