Globus Medical to acquire Alphatec Holdings assets

Globus Medical Inc. (NYSE: GMED) reported higher second quarter revenue and earnings of 27 cents per diluted share but the stock price plummeted $4.16 to close at $22.27 when the company announced that will acquire the international operations of Alphatec Holdings for $80 million in cash.
